State schools open their doors to “a million male and female students” in the first stations of the new academic year tomorrow

State and private state schools that follow the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and kindergarten will open their doors tomorrow, Monday, August 25, for a million male and female students in various stages of education, in the first stations of the first semester of the new academic year 2025-2026.

The new academic general education is initiated with a national campaign under the slogan “from skill to the forefront”, with the participation of educational cadres, parents and society, with the aim of highlighting the importance of skills in building the future of students, and motivating them to explore their capabilities and convert them into achievements.

Three major axes

The campaign is based on three main axes that include exploration to transform schools into incubating and inspiring environments to discover and care for student talents, and the second pillar of development by refining students’ skills, through strategic partnerships that provide them with advanced training opportunities, while the third pillar of excellence, by supporting and encouraging students to participate effectively in local and international competitions.

Two accompanying programs

The campaign includes two accompanying programs that start during the first month of returning to school, namely, “My Family Inspirational”, with the participation of parents and the “inspiring in the field” program. The two programs aim to inspire students and encourage them in their continuous educational career.

School days

According to the approved evaluation, the total day of schooling is 178 days for the new academic year, 67 days in the first semester, 47 days in the second semester, and 64 days in the third chapter, including the official leave set by the ministry accurately to ensure the balance between school days and rest periods.

Diagnostic tests

The first semester extends over the course of 14 weeks, starts on August 25, and the first semester permeates the Prophet’s birthday on September 4, and the Ministry allocated the period from 13 to 15 October for the mid -semester leave, and the specialized training for administrative and educational staff 2 is held to enhance educational practices and review performance, and the mid -semester leave for administrative and educational staff begins from 16 to 19 October next.

The first semester is witnessing diagnostic tests during the period from 15 to 19 September, to measure the level of students and develop supportive educational plans, and students will undergo experimental tests from 17 to 19 November.

End of the chapter tests

The Ministry set the end of the first semester tests from 20 to 28 November, and then the National Day 2 and 3 December, and the resumption of tests on December 4 and 5.

According to the calendar, students get the winter leave from December 8, 2025 to January 4, 2026, while the administrative and educational staff leave begins from December 15, giving schools an additional week to end administrative and closing works.

According to the evaluation, the students and educational and administrative staff resume their duration on the fifth of January 2026, after the winter leave, marking the start of the second semester, which will last for 9 weeks, provided that the results of the first semester are analyzed and issued from 7 to 9 January, allowing teachers and parents to see the levels of students and determine the strengths and areas of improvement.

Specialized training

Students get the mid -semester leave from 11 to 15 February and in mid -February, as it is interspersed with a fourth specialized training for educational cadres from 11 to 13 February, and the end of the end of the semester begins on the fourth of March, and will continue until the thirteenth of the same month, after which the spring vacation will start from 16 to 29 March for students and educational cadres, to constitute an important break before starting towards the last semester of the school year.

Measuring student skills

The third semester is scheduled to start March 30, 2026 and lasts for 13 weeks, as it is characterized by large momentum of international academic activities, as the period will witness from April 15 to May 7, the implementation of a study PIRLS (The main study), a global study that measures students’ reading skills, in conjunction with a study conducting Timss 2027 (Experimental study) that measures students’ skills in mathematics and science. These posts come to confirm the state’s keenness to measure education outcomes according to international standards.

Mid -semester vacation

This chapter witnesses the mid -semester leave from May 25 to 29, and the Hijri New Year leave on June 16, and the ministry has allocated the period from 15 to 19 June to hold the experimental test, with the aim of preparing for the end of the year tests that start on June 24 and continue until July 3 for students, while the administrative and educational staff continues its duties until July 17, 2026.

Entertainment and teaching cadres

For its part, the Ministry of Education used new competencies and cadres in the new academic year, as it attracted more than 800 new teachers, and made the appointment process continuing throughout the year, enabling it to bridge the deficiencies, and supply the field with the best experiences and competencies.

Nine new schools

It is scheduled to enter the service nine new schools in a number of the emirates of the state in the new academic year, at a time when the ministry implemented the maintenance and equipment of more than 460 schools with all supplies, and provided more than 5,500 school buses to transport students, in addition to printing more than 10 million copies of textbooks, and distributing approximately 47 thousand mobile computer devices.

Student stability

Governmental and private schools confirmed their readiness to receive students tomorrow, Monday, in support of students’ stability and success from the first day of the new academic year 2025-2026, explaining that organizational instructions have been circulated to students and parents days ago before the start of the new academic year.
