The number of citizens in Dubai rises to 299.6 thousand during 2024

Indicators issued by the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation yesterday said that the number of Emirati citizens increased by 2.5% on an annual basis, to reach 299.6 thousand citizens during the year 2024, compared to 292.2 thousand during the year 2023.
The indicators showed that the population of the Emirate of Dubai reached 3.99 million people (about four million people), an increase of 3.5%, by 134 thousand and 313 people, according to the recorded figures, until yesterday, August 25, compared to the population of Dubai during the beginning of January 2025, and at the time of 3.86 million people.
The indicators monitored by «Emirates Today», through reports from the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation, showed that the indicators of the total population in Dubai, registered until yesterday, reached unprecedented rates, and are the highest historical in the population of the emirate, and it also reveals an increase in the population of about 5.5% within a year, with an increase of 207 thousand and 836 people, compared to the population of the population during the similar period of August. 2024, in which the population of Dubai reached 3.790 million.
The population of Dubai recorded an increase of 31,153 people during August, compared to the beginning of last July, as the population reached about 3.96 million people.
The population of the Emirate of Dubai recorded an increase last year by 5.5%, by 208.6 thousand people, to 3.86 million, compared to 3.66 million people by the end of 2023. The population in the first quarter of this year exceeded the 3.96 million people, with a daily increase rate of 567 people.
The Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation takes the daily and monthly estimates of the residents of the Emirate of Dubai residing permanent residence within the geographical borders of the emirate, whether they are Emiratis or non -Emiratis, and the center is based on calculating the instant change of the population through the population hour to many sources such as the surveys, census and rules of relevant government agencies.
