UAE approach is fixed in building development partnerships that promote prosperity for all

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him and the President of the Republic of Angola, Joao Manuel Gonsal Self Lorensu, witnessed yesterday the exchange of a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the two countries, as part of a “state visit” made by His Highness to Angola that lasted for two days.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the comprehensive economic partnership agreement will contribute to a qualitative shift in economic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Angola, and increase the rates of trade exchange, and will also open the way for a new stage of joint economic growth, and expand the fields of work, investment and cooperation in front of business community in the two countries.
His Highness pointed out that the agreement is an important step within the process of strengthening the strategic partnerships of the United Arab Emirates with African countries that share its vision of economic growth and sustainability, and expresses the fixed approach of the UAE in building development partnerships to enhance economic growth and prosperity for all and create opportunities for future generations, and contribute to achieving the developmental aspirations of peoples.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a post on his official account on the X platform, said yesterday: “During our meeting today in Luanda, President Joao Manuel Lorenuu looked and enhanced the strengthening of development relations between our two countries, and we witnessed the announcement of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement that opens the way for a new qualitative stage of economic cooperation. The UAE is keen to continue developing relations with Angola, especially in areas that support the joint development of the two countries out of its approach towards the African continent, which is based on building effective partnerships that achieve growth and prosperity for all.
For his part, the President of Angola welcomed the announcement of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and other agreements and memoranda of understanding, stressing its importance in enhancing economic cooperation and diversifying its fields in a way that serves joint development and returns with good and growth over the peoples of the two countries.
Partnership Agreement
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, Minister of Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, and the Angolan side, Minister of Trade and Industry, Roy Mecca de Oliveira.
The comprehensive economic partnership agreement deepens economic ties between the UAE and Angola by canceling or reducing customs duties, removing unnecessary barriers to trade, expanding the scope of services exports to markets, and generating new opportunities for investment and cooperation in various sectors.
With the registration of the volume of non -oil trade between the UAE and Angola 2.17 billion dollars in 2024, and the continued recovery, during the first half of this year, with a growth of 29.7% to $ 1.4 billion, indicators confirm that the conclusion of the agreement between the two countries will result in growth in non -oil trade and investment flows in a manner that is good and growth on the two countries and their peoples.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him and the President of the Republic of Angola, Joao Manuel Gunsall Laurensu, also witnessed a number of memoranda of understanding, which included a memorandum of understanding in the field of artificial intelligence, and a memorandum of understanding between the United Arab Emirates Bank and the National Bank in Angola, in addition to a memorandum of understanding between the phenomenon company and the Ministry of Agriculture and Angolan Forests.
His Highness the President of the State said that the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the UAE and Angola, and included the governmental and private sectors, expressing joint keenness to invest in cooperation opportunities and its capabilities for a new stage of development cooperation between the two countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding in the field of artificial intelligence, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and from the Angolan side, Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Jose de Lima Moussano, exchanged, while the memorandum of understanding between the United Arab Emirates Bank and the National Bank in Angola, Governor of the Central Bank, Khaled Mohamed Balama, and from the Angolan side, Governor of the Central Bank, Manuel Antonio Thiago Diadah.
He also exchanged the memorandum of understanding between the “phenomenon” company and the Ministry of Agriculture and Angolan Forests, CEO of the administrative affairs and private projects sector – Al -Dhahirah Company, Ahmed Saeed Al -Suwaidi, and from the Angolan side, Minister of Foreign Relations, Titi Antonio, and the two sides also announced a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding, which included a wide package of fields, the most important of which are political consultations, diplomatic cooperation, tourism, investment and energy Renewable, culture and education, workforce, sports, health, climate work, technology, and other areas that serve the development aspirations of the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, arrived yesterday at the Presidential Palace in Luanda, where he was received by the President of the Republic of Angola, Joao Manuel Gunsalv Self Lorensu, as part of a “state visit” by His Highness to Angola.
His Highness took place an official reception ceremony upon the arrival of his convoy to the palace, where the artillery launched 21 shots welcoming His Highness, then he went and the Angolan President went to the platform of honor, and the national peace was played for both the United Arab Emirates and Angola, and a few of the guards were lined up in greeting and welcoming the visit of His Highness.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan shook hands with his future future ministers and officials in Angola, while the Angolan President shook hands with the accompanying delegation of His Highness.
