The Head of State and the German Chancellor discuss strengthening cooperation relations and regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, met today with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, on the sidelines of His Highness’s participation in the G7 summit in the French city of Evian.

His Highness and the German Chancellor discussed bilateral relations and joint work to strengthen them, especially in development fields, stressing the keenness to continue cooperation in order to consolidate these relations in the interest of the mutual development of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

The two sides also reviewed developments in the Middle East region and exchanged views on them.

The meeting also touched on the issues on the agenda of the G7 Summit and their importance in enhancing cooperation in facing common challenges and achieving common prosperity.
