70 %of citizens working in the private sector

The Acting Undersecretary for the Development and Organization of the Labor Market, the Assistant Undersecretary for Communication and International Relations in the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Shaima Al -Awadi, revealed that the number of citizens in the private sector has currently reached 152 thousand citizens, including 107 thousand women, with a representation of 70% of the total citizens working in the private sector.
She said during a session entitled “Women as an engine for the private sector and the promotion of resettlement”, which was held within the activities of the Emirati Women Forum, that Emirati women have a major role in the labor market inside the UAE, especially as they have proven their presence in companies, malls and various work agencies, and today Emirati women went out of their traditional nature, but rather have a pivotal role in leading the wheel of development.
She added that the state has implemented a set of policies to empower women and achieve a balance between family and practical life, as the law regulating work relations organized this matter, and included many types of leave and advantages as well as instructions for companies to provide facilities for working women, in addition to the fact that the system of disruption for work has protected women’s rights, and the savings system contributed to providing investment returns for them.
She added that the number of citizens in the private sector currently amounts to 152 thousand citizens, including 107 thousand women, with a representation of 70% of the total citizens in the private sector, stressing that the program competing with the latest qualitative shift in the private sector, as it is evidence that our leadership is investing in people; The program provides salaries for citizens in the private sector and allows companies to support the training of citizens in the sector.
She pointed out that 98% of the total citizens working in the educational staff are women, and their percentage in technological functions in the private sector is approximately 61%, in addition to a high percentage of medical jobs.
It stated that this year witnessed a growth in the women’s workforce in the labor market by 12%, an increase from last year, which reached the increase of 10%.
