The International Fund for the Preservation of Houbara participates in a special wing in the hunting and equestrian exhibition

The International Fund for the Preservation of Al -Houbara will participate in the 20th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Show, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, President of the Emirates Falcon Club, during the period from August 30 to September 7, 2025 under the slogan “Sustainability and Heritage … in a renewed spirit”, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center “ADNEC”.
The participation of the fund in this version is “as one of the agencies affiliated with the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation”, with a distinguished wing that derives its idea from preserving the environment and innate life as an authentic part of the identity of the UAE and its civilized message that embodies the firm legacy of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul” towards the importance of preserving the Houbara bird as a major component in the innate life that contributes to achieving A sustainable balance between man and the environment, which at the same time reflects the leading Emirati global model in preserving natural and cultural heritage.
It is expected that the pavilion of the fund will witness the visit of more than 120 thousand visitors during this year’s exhibition, who will closely learn about a group of live Houbara birds, which represent the fruit of long efforts from the propagation of families and release, and the visitor will also be able to see a historical documentary that includes inspiring humanitarian messages for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul” and his philosophy in environmental sustainability Wildlife, as well as the allocation of interactive and educational stations for various segments and groups, especially children and youth, where these stations deal with the stages of the development of the program, starting with research and scientific experiences to building global partnerships, in addition to reviewing the modern technologies developed by the scientific centers of the fund in both the Emirates, Morocco and Kazakhstan to preserve genetic diversity and the success of multiplication in the families.
Children and youth will be on a date with distinguished education through the educational corner of the International Fund for Houbara, which includes the “Houbara Platform for AI”, which is the first of its kind in the region and contains cultural and environmental information and educational games that mimic the children’s imagination and communicate information among young people, in addition to allocating the “Houbara Ambassadors Program” from veterinary students at the Emirates University, who share with visitors their experiences And their scientific training.
What distinguishes the Fund’s pavilion as well is its presentation of its continuous efforts to support local communities and create specialized job opportunities, highlighting its contributions to specific projects to preserve other species threatened with extinction such as Arab Houbara birds and the large Indian Hirbari, and highlight the developments of joint projects between the Fund and the Khalifa University of Science and Technology as a project “Houbara Robot” designed to conduct behavioral studies and collecting samples in Natural habitats, and the project “Understanding Houbara behavior with artificial intelligence” by developing advanced computer models to classify vegetable cover, discover, track and estimate their behavior in the natural environment.
It should be noted that the International Fund for the Preservation of Houbara is an extension of the firm human heritage of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul” towards the sustainability of innate life and find a balance between man and the environment, and the fund provides a comprehensive concept that includes research and harnessing scientific techniques and knowledge to overcome the challenges Specifications and prosperity in the wild on the other hand; Since the foundation, the production of Houbara birds reached nearly a “million birds”, which enabled the fund to restore the historical migration path for Houbara from Central Asia to the Arabian Peninsula, knowing that 75% of the migratory Houbara birds carrying tracking devices or identification rings that were reported to be hunting in the last season are produced by the fund and were launched in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
