Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho was removed from his duties in the Turkish club Fenerbahce, as the latter announced in an official statement today, Friday.
“We have been abandoned by our team’s Jose Mourinho since the 2024-2025 season,” the club said in a statement.
The dismissal decision comes after Fenerbahce failed to qualify for the role of the unified group in the Champions League after leaving the qualifiers at the hands of Portuguese Benfica after they tied negatively in Istanbul back and the loss 0-1 in Lisbon.
