"Fujairah International Mining International Conference ”will start next October 28

Fujairah on September 2 / WAM / The Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation revealed the completion of all preparations for the launch of the most important event on its economic and scientific agenda, the “Fujairah International Mining Conference” in its tenth session under the slogan “Metal resources for a sustainable society” which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council – Ruler of Fujairah, from 28 to 30 October in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Organization Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining.

This came during the press conference held by the Foundation at its headquarters today to highlight the features and details of the exceptional version that brings together senior experts, specialists, investors, officials and those with interest in the mining sector from different countries of the world.
The conference comes after a series of prominent successes during the previous sessions in which the forum has achieved record numbers in the number of participants and speakers, and attracting companies and international bodies, which contributed to the consolidation of its position as a leading platform for the mining sector in the region and the world, so that this year a qualitative shift in the transformation from a “forum” to a “conference”, reflects the size of the development and momentum achieved by the event over the past years
The conference activities will revolve around a review of the noticeable development and economic opportunities offered by the mining sector, and its great role in supporting sustainable development strategies, as well as enhancing the status of Fujairah and the UAE as a regional and international center in this field.

The conference will also be a platform to encourage investment opportunities and attract major international companies, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and keeping pace with the requirements of sustainable growth, and its axes also include innovation and digital transformation in the mining sector through artificial intelligence, data and automation, as well as focusing on promoting social responsibility, developing geological tourism, and protecting geological heritage.
During the conference, the winners of the Fujairah International Prize for Best Sustainable Practices will be announced, which will be held this year in its second session after the great success achieved in its first start. Additional categories have been included in this session in response to the requirements of the target audience, allowing wider participation and enhances competition opportunities between various parties and individuals, with the aim of encouraging the application of best practices and the development of the sector in a way that keeps pace with the sustainable development goals.
