Abdullah Youssef Al Ali takes over the presidency of the Union of Arab Engineers

The United Arab Emirates topped the Arab and international engineering scene at the assumption of Eng. Abdullah Youssef Al Ali, President of the Engineers Association – Emirates, Presidency of the Arab Engineers Union. This achievement reflects the prestigious position of Emirati competencies and its ability to lead the professional and engineering development paths in the region.

The Federation of Arab Engineers, which was established in 1963 and includes in its membership unions and engineering bodies from various Arab countries, is one of the most prominent regional engineering entities. The Federation aims to unify Arab engineering efforts, enhance professional practices, and raise the level of competencies in line with international standards, as well as support sustainable development in the Arab world.

Engineer Abdullah Youssef Al Ali holds a record full of achievements at the local and international levels, as he contributed during his presidency of the Association of Engineers – the Emirates in enhancing the association’s position globally, and led it to become a founding member of a number of leading international engineering organizations, reflecting the association’s commitment to support international cooperation and exchanging experiences, and enhancing the UAE’s presence in international forums.

Among the most prominent of these achievements:

The launch of the Excellence and Engineering Creativity Award, which contributed to highlighting the best engineering practices and innovations in the country and the region, and attracted posts from various engineering disciplines through its three sessions. The award has become a leading platform to support creative engineers and encourage engineering innovation and professional excellence.

Setting a comprehensive strategy for the Association of Engineers from the first day of its presidency, which included clear goals to enhance institutional performance, develop professional programs, support international cooperation, and achieve a concrete impact exceeding 90% of the specified targets, which raised the level of the association’s efficiency and credibility locally and internationally.

The leadership of the association becomes a founding member of the International Belt and Road Engineering Associations (IFES), the FEIBRICS Engineering Union, and the IUTIO Earth Infrastructure Organization (Iutio).

Join as an associate member of the International Architecture Federation (UIA) and the Union of Engineering Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (FIEAP), strengthening the global engineering cooperation network of the association.

The presidency of Eng. Abdullah Youssef Al Ali comes to the union in line with the strategy of the Association of Engineers – the Emirates, aimed at enhancing professional performance, adopting the best global engineering practices, and supporting the UAE’s position as a leading destination for engineering excellence at the Arab and international levels.

The Association of Engineers – Emirates stressed that this achievement reflects the leadership role of the UAE in supporting the engineering sector, and highlights the state’s commitment to developing professional standards, promoting innovation, and consolidating the best sustainable engineering practices, which contributes to advancing development and enhancing the UAE’s position in international forums.
