“Dua” enhances cooperation with Chinese companies in renewable energy

The Managing Director, CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, “Dua”, Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, headed a delegation from the authority on a visit to China, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and strategic partnerships in the renewable energy sector.
In a statement yesterday, the authority stated that it is in the tenders to implement the seventh stage of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Complex with a capacity of 2000 megawatts, with the technology of solar PV panels, and a system for storing energy with batteries with a capacity of 1400 megawatts for six hours.
Al -Tayer said that the authority is cooperating with a number of major Chinese companies in various fields of energy, especially clean and renewable energy, as many major Chinese companies participate in the authority’s projects, especially in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Complex, the delegation visited Huawei, the headquarters of the company “BYD”, the “Tesla” factory, the Sun Gro, and the CRC Zhuzhou.
