The Cooperation Council honors Shamma bint Muhammad Al Nahyan as a pioneer in social work
Kuwait on September 6 / WAM / The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf honored, Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, as the leading figure in the field of civil social work at the level of the United Arab Emirates.
This came during an official ceremony to honor the leading figures in the field of civil social work at the level of the GCC states, organized by the General Secretariat of the Council, on the sidelines of the eleventh meeting of the Committee of Social Development Ministers of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which was held in Kuwait last week.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Fahd Youssef Saud Al -Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and His Excellency Jassim Muhammad Al -Badawi, Secretary -General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, His Excellency Dr. Like Al -Hawila, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs in Kuwait, and Sheikha Sheikha Bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, and Sheikha Hamda Bint Saeed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, and Ministers of Social Development in the GCC countries.
Honoring Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan comes based on an official nomination from the Ministry of Community Empowerment in the UAE, which praised her institutional and societal role, and the cultural, educational and youth programs and initiatives launched that contributed to enabling society groups, enhancing national identity, and consolidating authentic Emirati values in the hearts of successive generations.
The Ministry stated that the institutions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan cultural and educational are among the most important inspiring models in the region, because of its diversity in the initiatives and awareness activities, and the great expansion in the circle of beneficiaries of its community programs, which reflects the UAE civilizational and development message in its best forms.
This honor is based on a general framework approved by the Cooperation Council to honor the leading figures in community work, with the aim of encouraging individuals and institutions in the GCC countries to launch specific social projects and initiatives, and highlight successful experiences that can be generalized to benefit from Gulf.
Sheikha, Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, said that this honor reflects the keenness of the UAE and its wise leadership, to support and empower societal work, considering that it is a mandate and responsibility to continue work and giving, and developing cultural and social initiatives through the institutions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan cultural and educational.
