8 cases of the absence of students outside the scope of the violation

The Ministry of Education has approved eight cases in which students are allowed without entering into the scope of the violation, or the student is subjected to any punishment, according to official controls and procedures that guarantee documenting excuses and verifying their validity.

Schools obliged them to follow them during the absence of students, and to provide them with educational materials through digital platforms.

The ministry stated that the eight cases include documented disease, chronic diseases, students accompanying relatives for treatment, participating in national tasks, deaths, and emergency cases, such as natural disasters, exceptional cases, and people of determination.

She explained that the disease is one of the most prominent reasons for absence, provided that a medical certificate issued by accredited bodies inside or outside the country, taking into account the conditions of chronic diseases through special support plans that guarantee their continuation in pursuing their studies without interruption.

The controls also included allowing students ’absence to accompany their relatives on treatment trips outside the country, provided that the period of absence does not exceed one week during the academic year, provided that an official statement is provided from the competent authority, as well as the absence resulting from participation in national tasks or official activities, whether it is at the local or international level, based on official statements that determine the nature and duration of participation. As for the deaths, the students ’right to absence at the death of the first or second degree was confirmed, provided that this is proven according to the approved regulations.

The Ministry did not neglect emergency cases, such as natural disasters or Cairo conditions that prevent students from reaching school, in addition to the special and exceptional circumstances that some of them may face, and requires an in -depth study to take the appropriate decision on them.

The Ministry stressed the importance of the approved new controls that regulate the excuses of the absence of students at various levels of study, to achieve a balance between maintaining school discipline and taking into account the human and social aspects of students and their families.

She stated that schools are committed to their follow -up directly during the period of the absence of students, by providing them with educational materials through digital platforms or setting individual plans that ensure that their academic level is not affected.

It also obliges students to carry out compensation tasks and duties to ensure the continuity and integration of the educational process.
