Agreement between "Abu Dhabi Arabic Language" and"Amazon Alexa" To enhance attendance "Dad language" Digitally
Abu Dhabi September 10/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center announced today the signing of an agreement with the international “Amazon Alexa”, according to which high -quality Arabic content is licensed for two digital center projects, and made it available through the services of Alexa Voice Assistant in the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement, which came as one of the outputs of the “Arabic Conceance and Creative Industries” of the center after the participation of “Amazon Alexa” in its past session, represents a qualitative step to enhance the presence of the Arabic language in the digital space, and to expand its cultural impact at the global level.
The licensed content includes selected materials from the two projects: “Dictionary of Maids Guide”, which was launched in the year 2021, and includes the most common Arab vocabulary on digital platforms, and the “Poetic Encyclopedia”, which is an open electronic archive that includes a selection of Arabic poetry that highlights its richness and diversity.
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, described the agreement with “Amazon Alexa” as an important step in the center’s efforts to expand the scope of the Arabic language, and to benefit from developments in technology and artificial intelligence in promoting its presence in a global language of culture, science and innovation.
His Excellency said, “The Arabic language is one of the most flexible and elaborate languages on giving in aspects of functional and creative life, and undoubtedly this partnership that allows customers to reach the Arabic content of two of the most prominent digital center initiatives: the poetic encyclopedia, and a dictionary of meanings guide; it will have the greatest impact in enriching the digital content in the Arabic language, and bringing its ammunition to dozens of millions of users around the world; to benefit and enjoy this Live language and rich ammunition with the best capabilities offered by the digital age. “
For his part, Dr. Rafid bin Amin Fattani, Regional Director of “Amazon Alexa” in the Middle East and North Africa region said: “We believe in Amazon with the ability of sound techniques to preserve and spread cultural heritage, and make daily interactions more natural, and our cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center is an important step in the framework of our continuous commitment to enhance the presence and use of the Arabic language, support its local contexts, and to include Arabic content The center was carefully chosen by “Alexa”, not only we contribute to improving the experience of our Arabic -language users, but also helping to spread the rich linguistic heritage of the Arabic language.
