Saud bin Saqr witnesses the launch of the first trial flight of an electric vehicle flying in the sky of Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah, September 10/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, witnessed today the launch of the first experimental flight of an electric vehicle plane for the company X-Ping Aero Ht, the leading Chinese Xpeng Aeroht, in the sky of the emirate, in the presence of His Excellency Zhang Yimming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the state, and a number of elders and senior officials, and that From Al -Jazira Air Club, in a pioneering step that embodies the features of the future of sustainable and smart transportation in the UAE.
His Highness stressed that this experience represents a reflection of the UAE’s vision in making a future based on innovation and sustainability, and embodies the commitment of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to adopt the latest global technological solutions, in cooperation with major technology companies in various parts of the world, in a way that enhances its position as a preferred destination for living, work, investment, and tourism.
His Highness said, “In Ras Al Khaimah, we look at the future with ambition, and we are working to transform unconventional ideas into realistic achievements that contribute to building an advanced and sustainable urban environment, and the trial journey of the electric electric vehicle embodies a new step in our path towards developing smart and environmentally friendly means of transportation, contributing to the advancement of the quality of the lives of our children and residents on our good land, and supports our ambitious vision in building an economy Various and flexible looks at the future. “

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ras Al Khaimah Communications Authority and the Chinese company X-Bing Aero HT, which is based in the city of Guangzo, with the aim of developing and applying flying car technologies in the emirate for entertainment, tourism, rescue operations and other uses.
The items of the memorandum provides for the priority of environmental protection, enhancing the principles of sustainability and ensuring long -term development for the manufacture of flying car, which contributes to the consolidation of the position of Ras Al Khaimah as a pioneering center for innovation, and enhances the presence of the brand of the Chinese company in the region.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by His Excellency Eng. Ismail Hassan Al -Balushi, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Communications Authority, the Agency Civil Aviation Department, and Choa Daily, CEO of the Chinese company.
