Home Botox .. a dangerous shout threatening death

This trend depends on a South Korean product known as “Enotox”, which contains the same active substance in the medical botox (Toxin Potolinom A). Enotox differs from the traditional botox as ready to injection without the need to reduce it with sterile saline solution, and it is sold online at low prices compared to the medical cost; The package of 100 units is only about $ 60, while the cost of doctors reaches about $ 1,000.
This big difference in prices contributed to the spread of thousands of videos on platforms such as “Tek Talk”, in which people who inject themselves appear to remove wrinkles. However, doctors have warned that these practices are absolutely insecure, as they may lead to facial paralysis, skin infections, severe bruises, eyelids, or eyebrows lack of consistency. The most dangerous is that some cases may be exposed to rare but fatal complications, such as difficulty breathing, muscle weakness, or a fatal sensory reaction.
Dr. Michel Green, a cosmetic dermatologist in New York, stressed that Botox injections require an accurate knowledge of the anatomy of the face, warning that “Enotox” is sold online illegally and has not obtained approval or safety tests by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
For his part, Dr. Mo Akhfani, the co -founder of the plastic surgery group, warned that self -injections may cause permanent damage to the nerves or distorting the face, pointing out that the products spread on the Internet may be fake or unlimited, which increases the risk of botox poisoning that may lead to paralysis or even death.
Experts unanimously agree that Botox should be used exclusively by licensed specialists, stressing that the desired benefits of these practices are not comparable to the grave dangers that may result from them.
