Hor bint Sultan Al Qasimi witnesses the opening of the 6th session of"Treenali Aichi" In Japan

Aychi (Japan) on September 14/ WAM/ The activities of the sixth session of the Treenali Aichi in Japan, which is held by Sheikha Hor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Arts Foundation under the slogan “Time between Esam and Roses” and will continue until November 30 and include a varied program of exhibitions, seminars, meetings and technical workshops throughout the Japanese Aichi province.

This course comes from the trinaly – which is one of the most prominent international artistic events – to form a precedent in choosing Sheikha Hour Al Qasimi as the first technical director of the Treenali from outside Japan to advance a new perspective in his public programs and enhance the presence of Aichi Governorate within the global artistic scene.

The opening was attended by Takiu Obayshi, head of the Organizing Committee for the Tirnali, Hediki Omora, the ruler of Aichi Governorate, along with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates, which included His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khaled Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Government Relations Department in Sharjah, Sheikha Nawar Bint Ahmed Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Arts Foundation, Sheikha Hind Bint Majid Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Center for Design and His Excellency Commercial and Tourism in Sharjah, Halima Hamid Al Owais, Vice -President of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, Najla Ahmed Al -Midfa, Vice President of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center “Sharaa”, Aisha Rashid Dimas, Director of the Sharjah Museums Authority, along with a number of officials.

The slogan of this session was inspired by “a time between ashes and flowers” from a house by the Syrian poet Adonis, one of the symbols of contemporary Arabic poetry, which witnessed the destruction of the war and the informed damage.

Treenali Aichi seeks to explore methods through which a person and the environment can trust each other and to nourish and complete each other.

This session hosts the works of a group of Emirati artists, who are Afra Al Dhaheri, who provides works that mix performance, video and syntactic art in which they are based on their upbringing in Abu Dhabi and Mohamed Kazem, who is known for his conceptual practices and his experimenting in unconventional media, and Maitha Abdullah, whose works move between the movie, sculpture, drawing, performance and the sheikh of the cultivated that continue to explore identity issues and cultural memory through multiple media.

The work of the participants, who number more than 60 artists and artistic group of twenty -two countries, focuses on calling cultural memory, experimenting with materials and exploring the popular imagination.

Treenali shows are accompanied by dialogue seminars and meetings with the artists, in addition to a special event entitled “Three days to test the atmosphere of the city of ceramics in Seto” and takes place between the first and the third of next November in parallel with the annual project of the Aiti Museum of ceramics, which is “Shi of the Treasury” in a recovered version of an old ove.

It should be noted that Sheikha Hour Al Qasimi is an artistic valley and head of the Sharjah Art Foundation, which she founded in 2009 to deepen her role and a catalyst for the arts not only in Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates but also at the regional and international levels as well as a start from her passion for supporting experimentation and innovation in the arts.

Hor Al Qasimi continuously sought to expand the scope of the Foundation’s work to include the provision of major mobile exhibitions in parallel with the program of establishing artists and values ​​in the visual, cinematic, musical and performance arts, support for assignments and granting production to emerging artists, architecture and restoration research, as well as providing multiple educational programs in the Emirate of Sharjah to suit all age groups.

Al -Qasimi participated in the evaluation of “Sharjah Biennial 6” in 2003, and the Biennial administration has been converted since that date and converted under its supervision to a prominent international platform that brings together contemporary artists, artistic values ​​and cultural producers from all over the world and its prominent contributions in the artistic field led to its election as President of the International Biennial League in 2017, the date in which the headquarters of the International Biennial League moved to Sharjah as it was valuable For the fifteenth edition of the Sharjah Biennial “History present” 2023.

Sheikha Hour has evaluated many of the major exhibitions held by the Sharjah Art Foundation and presented important artists.

On the international level, Hor Al Qasimi held an exhibition of Emirati artists “1980- Today: Exhibitions in the Emirates” within the national pavilion of the UAE at the 56th International Bennia Fear Venice (2015) and Benali Lahore II 2020 and art projects for the ninth version of the “Dream City” festival in Tunisia in 2023.

Sheikha was a valuable role participating in several exhibitions, the most important of which are: “Kamala Ibrahim Ishaq: Unity in Diversity” in the Serbin Gallery – London (2022-2023) and “Bani Abidi: The man who spoke until the” Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art (2021-2022) and “Joanna Haji Toma and Khalil Greg: Sharjah moved to Joe de Bayem in Paris, House Deir Kunst in Munich and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Valencia (2017).

“Treenali Aichi” is one of the most prominent international festivals of arts and culture in Japan and since its foundation in 2010 has hosted artists, values ​​and cultural leaders from inside and outside Japan.
