Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, Dubai has made a second relief air charge to Afghanistan in less than a week, in support of those affected by the destroyed earthquake that struck the country recently.

This initiative took place in the coordination of “Dubai Humanitarian” through the Global Human Impact Fund, where the plane that launched from Dubai carried aid provided by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, heading to Kabul with 39.8 tons of relief materials, which included shelter requirements, tents and basic home supplies as well as medical supplies, and estimated at about 1.16 million Emirati dirhams (about 315,350 USD), and it is expected to benefit from about 50 thousand people.

This shipment comes as the second air shipment that completes the task that started last Monday, as the first shipment carried 84 tons of aid in favor of four United Nations agencies, while this urgent move reflects the extent of the UAE’s keenness and Dubai to support urgent international humanitarian efforts, as well as the endeavors of “Dubai Humanitarian” and its continuous efforts to accelerate the access of aid to the most affected societies of disasters and crises In order to reduce its suffering.
