Activating joint defense mechanisms and deterrence capabilities

The closing statement of the emergency Gulf summit held in Doha stressed the need to take what is necessary to activate the mechanisms of joint defense, and to enhance the capabilities of Gulf deterrence, as well as direct the Joint Defense Council to hold an urgent meeting in Doha.

The Gulf Summit statement stressed the condemnation of the flagrant Israeli violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, and also called on all countries and organizations to condemn the Israeli attack on Qatar, and also solidarity with Qatar in all its procedures.
