40 parties participate in the second meeting of the Emirati Japanese Business Council

Tokyo, on September 18 / WAM / held yesterday evening “Wednesday” in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, the work of the second meeting of the Emirati Japanese Business Council, organized by the Emirates Chambers Union in cooperation with the state embassy in Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Japanese GPO Foundation, in the presence of more than 40 entities and company from the two countries, representing the sectors of manufacturing, renewable energy, real estate, health care, trade, information technology and agriculture.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Hamid Mohammed bin Salem, Secretary -General of the UAE Chamber of Chambers, head of the Emirati commercial delegation, His Excellency Masoud Rahma, Chairman of the Emirati side in the Council, a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, His Excellency Youssef Tahnoun, Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Umm Al Quwain, and His Excellency Aisha Mohamed Al Mulla, Chairman of the Emirates Business Women, along with Nobotaka Mikea, Vice President of the Japanese “Getro” Foundation.
During the meeting, the prospects and opportunities for strengthening investment partnerships between the two countries were reviewed in a wide range of targeted economic sectors within the comprehensive economic partnership strategy.
In his opening speech, His Excellency Humaid bin Salem stressed the vital role played by the Emirati Business Council and the “Gitro” Foundation in strengthening bilateral relations, praising the Japanese brands that have a distinguished reputation and wide turnout in the UAE market thanks to the quality of its products and innovations.
He explained that cooperation between the UAE and Japan expanded to include unconventional sectors such as the circular economy, health care, sustainable and effective energy solutions, construction and contracting, engineering, manufacturing, interior design, as well as the entertainment sector.
For his part, His Excellency Masoud Rahma stressed that the convening of the second meeting of the Council in Tokyo represents an important step towards strengthening trade relations between the private sector in the two countries, noting that cooperation includes multiple areas, including clean energy, which reflects the commitment of the two countries to develop strategic partnerships that serve common interests.
For her part, Aisha Mohamed Al Mulla presented a presentation on the role of Emirati women in the business sector, highlighting her leadership in the field of entrepreneurship and assuming leadership positions, as well as her contribution to innovation in various sectors that include technology, renewable energy and health.
She praised the great support provided by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Mother of the Emirates, President of the General Women’s Federation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, the honorary president of the Emirates Business Women Council, through national policies, educational programs and providing opportunities, in a way that enhances the position of Emirati women in the economy and society.
For his part, Nobotaka Mikeoa stressed the importance of the private sector participation from the two countries in bilateral meetings and its active role in supporting trade and economic relations, pointing to the promising prospects of the Emirati -Japanese partnership in the fields of industry and industrial technologies, in line with the common vision of the two countries.
