Dubai, September 18 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, said that the UAE will remain a beacon of culture, knowledge and prosperity regionally and globally, with its embodiment of the lofty values, unlimited capabilities and the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, who learned that dialogue, comprehensive knowledge and fruitful interaction between humans is the way to a world that believes in a world that believes in a world that believes in a peaceful coexistence And joint cooperation, achieving goodness and prosperity around the world.

His Excellency appreciated the efforts and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God bless him”, which presented this unique global edifice.

This came after the visit of His Excellency the Mohammed bin Rashid Library in Dubai, to see its various services and its experience in enriching the cultural and knowledge scene in Dubai and the UAE.

The visit included a tour of the library sections and advanced facilities, where His Excellency learned about the latest initiatives and programs it provides to support creativity and innovation, and enhance the status of knowledge as a basic pillar of sustainable development.

His Excellency was received by His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Al Murr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Library, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Salem Al Mazrouei, Member of the Board of Directors, and a number of officials.

His Excellency said that the Mohammed bin Rashid Library is an Emirati edifice of a global character, which we are proud of and cherish with its successes that confirm our keenness that we promote our values, and we communicate with the world through culture, arts and knowledge, which is the origin of respect, acquaintance and dialogue, and enrich our knowledge, for a better future for our Emirates and the world.

His Excellency emphasized his pride in the library’s knowledge content and its precious holdings, appreciating the tender of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, his efforts and insightful vision that stands behind this unique edifice and its successes as one of the wonderful landmarks of Dubai and the Emirates.

His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak started his tour by visiting the ammunition exhibition in the library, where he was briefed on a wide range of rare manuscripts and artistic pieces unique from Arab, Islamic and international manuscripts in several fields such as medicine, science, astronomy, and literature, in addition to cultural and artistic holdings that represent different periods of the history of the region and the world.

During the tour, His Excellency Mohamed Al -Murr gave a detailed explanation about the artistic pieces and manuscripts offered, in addition to the anecdotes of books and publications, highlighting the efforts of the restoration center in protecting and preserving these rare holdings, relying on a team that includes a group of national cadres.

His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak also inspected the facilities of the other library, including the nine specialized libraries, in addition to the facilities that contribute to supporting the education and research process by enriching the experience of visitors and students throughout the year.

He reviewed the qualitative initiatives launched by the library to enhance culture and knowledge, and reviewed the smart digital transformation it adopts, reflecting its commitment to providing an advanced knowledge environment that combines the latest technologies and best practices in the service of culture and learning.

At the end of the visit, His Excellency expressed his great appreciation to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library on its efforts in consolidating its position as a global knowledge editor, praising its role in enhancing the UAE’s position as a center for thought and creativity, and emphasizing the importance of investing in culture and knowledge to build an advanced society based on innovation and knowledge economy.
