"Sharjah International Film Film celebrates South Korea cinema

The festival version will witness the display of 76 films that were chosen from among 1740 films from 26 countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, France, Iran, Indonesia, Bahrain, Russia, India and the Netherlands, in addition to the countries of Sao Tommy, Bersep, Ecuador and Billis, which participates for the first time in the festival, which announced his choice of South Korea to be the guest of honor of the current version.

And the “Fann” Foundation announced the launch of the “World Conference on Children’s and Youth Films”, which is considered an innovative regional platform aimed at highlighting the importance of cinema and its role in shaping the awareness of young people in the Arab world and the challenges facing Arab cinema, and supporting emerging talents.

Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director General of the “Art” Foundation and the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, stressed that the festival, since its inception, constituted an inspiring creative space that contributes to empowering filmmakers and highlighting their fundamental role in developing the local cultural and artistic scene, thanks to the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and supporting his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, noting that the Foundation is keen to care for the owners of talents Young people are creative and culturally, and enabling them to discover their capabilities in the film industry.

She said: We believe in the institution that cinema is a global language capable of uniting peoples and an important tool to instill noble values ​​in the hearts of children and youth, and we seek through the festival to enable creators to share their experiences and creativity with the public, which reflects our obligations to establish a new generation of filmmakers that are characterized by its ability to express his ideas and views and contribute to discussing the issues of his societies.
