The Ruler of Sharjah witnesses the opening of the 25th session of the Sharjah International Forum

Sharjah, on September 22 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed the opening of the 25th session of the Sharjah International Forum for Rawa, which will be held from September 22 to 26 this year under the slogan “Tales of Traveler”, at the Center for International Organizations for Cultural Heritage in the University City in Sharjah.

The opening ceremony started with verses from the wise dhikr, after which Dr. Abdulaziz Al -Muslim, head of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, Chairman of the Supreme Committee organizing the forum, delivered a speech in which he spoke about the event that complements its 25th year, describing it as beneficial, Hafiz and the lifted of the narrators and their popular knowledge, as during his continuous sessions he witnessed a qualitative shift and a comprehensive development in his vision, structure and content, until it became a focal event on the map of cultural work And the Arab world, and the whole world.

The Muslim appreciated the efforts and support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, who conveyed the forum and rose with it thanks to his insightful vision, his generous care and his directives, in celebration of the narrators and popular practitioners, and the rich and varied stock they possess, making Sharjah a destination for heritage, a kiss for the narrators and a station for experts and researchers from everywhere, and a leading model to be followed in protecting human treasures, preserving heritage and protecting and protecting it From loss and extinction.

The Chairman of the Supreme Committee organizing the forum dealt with the slogan of the 25th session of the Forum “Tales of the Traveler”, which celebrates the heritage and literature of the traveler, describing it as ancient literature, which is one of the most enjoyable and most popular arts, in exchange for the literary and cultural value, in addition to topics and information about the place and the human being.

He talked about the session in which more than 120 narrators, experts, researchers and media are participating in more than 37 countries, and the Maldives Republic of the honorary guest this year, because of its strange tales and strange stories that the travelers have written.

The Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee explained that the forum includes 3 exhibitions: “Around the World” exhibition by His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Al -Murr, the work of the actress Mira Al -Qasim, and the “Promotion of Horizons” exhibition, which is a heritage exhibition that evokes the journey heritage and celebrates its compassionate, the most famous traveler Ibn Battuta, in addition to more than 40 diversified titles and the participation of a number of organizations, cultural centers, universities, institutes, and government institutions.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and the attendees witnessed a film subject that dealt with the history of the narrator’s forum from its inception and development during its 25 sessions, as it began locally at the level of Emirati narrators to the world through cooperation with the international bodies, most notably the “UNESCO” organization, and the article touched on the most prominent narrators in the Emirates who carried tales full of adventures, surprises, risks, strange and wonders, adding a nature In astonishment and amazement of observations and positions.

His Highness, His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Al -Murr, honored the honorary character of the forum, and Dr. Claudia Maria, the legal figure of the forum, in appreciation of their giving and their contributions to the service of culture and heritage, in addition to a number of local narrators in the UAE, providing them with the certificates and memorial shields, and His Highness took with them the collective photos.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah toured the exhibition accompanying the forum and witnessing the various posts from various Arab countries, listening to His Highness to explain about the most prominent paintings and drawings that reflect the culture and heritage of the participating countries.

His Highness also expressed the exhibition of His Excellency Muhammad Al -Murr, titled “Around the World, Tours and Views of Muhammad Al -Mur”, and the bitter in his exhibition reviews the most prominent artistic paintings from different countries of the world that carry adventures, surprises and risks, written with a nature of suspense and amazement, where the bitter is one of the contemporary travelers who passed away from a young age, considering that self -exploration is through exploring the place.

Academic and cultural institutions from inside and outside the country, most notably the University of Sharjah, the University of Turin (Italy), the University of Zhejiang (China), the Higher Institute of Folklore (Egypt), the Qatar National Library, as well as local government agencies such as the Environment and Reserves Authority, the Hamriyah municipality, Sharjah Museums Authority, Sharjah libraries, in addition to the Qatar National Library and other parties.

The forum’s agenda includes more than 25 specialized workshops, in the areas of oral story and visual narration, in addition to launching 40 new issues whose topics deal with the slogan of the course, including the book “Literature of the Trip in the Arab World”, the series “Eyes of Tour”, which includes ten teams from the Arab Tour Code, in addition to the accompanying bulletins and chains, and a special corner for signing issues on the sidelines of the events.

The opening was attended by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah: Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Government Relations Department, Sheikh Muhammad bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, Sheikh Salem bin Muhammad bin Salem Al Qasimi, Director of the Commercial and Tourism Development Authority, and a number of senior officials and representatives of the participating countries and narrators.
