Port Said International Film Director: The success of the first session brings the city to the tourist and technical map
Director Khaled Farid, director of the Port Said International Film Festival, confirmed that the first session of the festival achieved remarkable success at the technical and organizational levels, noting that the most prominent goals of the festival were to re -link Port Said to the tourism map by highlighting its distinctive features, and organizing field visits to the participating delegations to the most important landmarks of the city.
Farid explained that the festival hosted a group of tourism experts, and organized special seminars to introduce them to the ways of linking tourism and art, as he sought to prepare young cadres capable of assuming greater tasks in the upcoming sessions. He pointed out that one of the most important recommendations of the festival is to work to conclude twinning with other festivals to exchange experiences and promote the festival’s future goals.
On the most prominent difficulties and challenges, Farid said: & quot; we initially faced great doubts about the ability of the team to organize the first session, but my love for the challenge made me go through this experience with enthusiasm, and today I feel unimaginable happiness with the success achieved by the team, and by reaching the festival to the finish line in peace & quot;
He added that the duration of the festival on paper is only five days, & quot; but in reality it is a continuous work throughout the year & quot, pointing out that the success of the first session will be a great support for any upcoming director, whether he personally continues to manage the festival next year or not.
He concluded by saying: & quot; the biggest proof of the success of this course is the request of many parties and people to join Festival & quot;
