Rima Abdel Malik .. New executive director of Ulian Lujour

The General Press and Publishing Company, publisher of the newspaper “Lorian Logor” and “Lorian Today” in Beirut, announced the appointment of Rima Abdel Malik’s executive director of the newspaper as of November 10.

This appointment comes after a year in which “Lorian Lujour” celebrated a hundred years since its establishment, and it has held a century for a century in the face of crises, adhering to the freedom of the word and professional independence, and is committed to digital transformation without neglecting its basic mission.

The Chair of the Board of Directors of the group, Nayla de Freej, considered that Abdel -Malik will give the newspaper a new dynamic to expand its scope and enhance its influence in Lebanon, the region and the world, thanks to her firm personality, international experience and loyalty to the values ​​of freedom of the press and civil society.

In turn, Abdel -Malik stressed that “the media today is the most important democratic battle” in light of the geopolitical crises, misleading and attracting public opinion, stressing its commitment to support the independence of “Lorian Lujour”, expanding its international presence and strengthening the link between Lebanon and its alienation.

The Board of Directors also thanked the former CEO Fouad Khoury Helou for his accomplishments since 2021 in promoting financial stability and the development of the newspaper’s audience despite the security and economic challenges, while Helou expressed his satisfaction with leaving his position, assuring that “Lorian Lujour will remain a symbol of Lebanon.”
