starting "Big Bad Wolf" For the first time in Ajman

Ajman, September 25/ WAM/ Ajman witnessed today the launch of the activities of the “Big Bad Wolf” book, which is hosted by the emirate for the first time, under the auspices of the Department of Tourism Development, at the Ajman Youth Center, and will continue until next October 5.

The exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency Khaled Mohamed Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Foundation, and His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Media Office of the Ajman Government.

Big Bad Wolf is the largest mobile book of selling books in the world, with more than 250,000 diversified books in various fields, and offers discounts of up to 90%, and prices starting from two dirhams only.

The exhibition will be held in cooperation with the Ajman government, with the support of the Sharjah Book Authority, and in a strategic partnership with the Office of Special Education Affairs in Ajman and the Ajman Youth Center, with the aim of enhancing the emirate’s position as a prominent cultural and educational center at the state and the region.

His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al -Hashemi, Director General of the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman stressed that hosting the exhibition represents a qualitative addition to the cultural movement in the emirate, and embodies Ajman’s commitment to supporting culture and knowledge, and promoting reading as a firm societal value.

He added, “We are proud to bring this global event to Ajman, with its various cognitive value and an exceptional experience for books lovers, especially young and children.”

His Excellency Khaled Al -Nuaimi said that hosting the exhibition in Ajman represents a qualitative addition to the cultural scene in the country, and is consistent with the directions of the rational leadership in supporting young people and enabling them to see the widest sources of knowledge.

His Excellency Muhammad Al -Kaabi praised the emirate’s hosting of this global cultural event, praising the distinguished organization that allows the public of all ages the opportunity to acquire books at reasonable prices, in a way that establishes the values ​​of knowledge and spreading culture in society, according to the Ajman 2030 vision.

In turn, Andrew Yap, the founder of the “Big Bad Wolf” exhibition, said the primary goal of the initiative is to make reading accessible to everyone around the world.

He added, “We believe that the books are not a luxury, but rather a basic right for every individual, and through the exhibition we seek to provide an opportunity for everyone to obtain knowledge of the simplest means.”

The exhibition opens its doors daily from 10 am until 9 pm, and receives the audience for free throughout the event.

The “Big Bad Wolf” initiative was launched in 2009, and expanded to include more than 50 cities in 17 countries, polarizing millions of visitors from around the world.

The exhibition provides visitors with a unique cultural experience that includes a wide variety of books that cover all interests, from literature, imagination and science to children’s books and self -development.
