Sharjah Arts organizes an exhibition "I love my love for what others love"

Sharjah, on September 26 / WAM / The Sharjah Art Foundation today organized an exhibition “I love my love for what others love” by the Brazilian artist Lida Katonda, in Al -Rawqin 4 and 5 in the Marija Square in Sharjah.
The exhibition, which is supervised by Sheikha Hor Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Arts Foundation, in cooperation with Mira Mado, is the valuable assistant in the Foundation, the largest monographic show for Catonda works outside Brazil, as it includes a wide range of her works that extend from the eighties of the last century to the present time.
The opening program started with a dialogue session that brought together Sheikha Hor Al Qasimi and artist Lida Katonda, which deals with her artistic career and creative vision, followed by an introductory tour in the corridors of the exhibition.
The exhibition reviewed syntactic works and paintings that weave a sensual dialogue between what is manual and automatic, and between the uniqueness of the human touch and the magnitude of industrial production, introducing a renewed critical vision of pop culture and consumerism, and Katonda is inspired by its work from a world rich in pictures and material elements, where the title of the exhibition represents “I love my love for what others love” a contemporary recognition that contemplates the tangle And desire and identity.
