A wide praise of Chinese leaders in the Arab vision of the digital economy and the role of the Emirates in digital innovation

BEIJING, September 27/ WAM/ senior officials in China praised the Arab vision of the digital economy, stressing that the UAE represents a regional model of innovation and the leadership of digital transformation.
This came during a series of meetings held by the Arab Digital Economy Federation with a number of senior officials in several Chinese provinces, which included Heinan, Shanghai and Jijiang, in addition to the Hong Kong Special Administrative District.
Among the most prominent of these meetings is the meeting with His Excellency Paul Chan, the Minister of Finance at Hong Kong, during which cooperation was discussed in establishing a joint industrial investment fund to support digital economy projects, as well as reviewing the role of the Federation’s office in Hong Kong as a platform to communicate with local institutions.
In this context, the Minister stressed the importance of the Arab vision of the digital economy, noting that the UAE has presented an advanced model in supporting innovation and digital transformation at the region level.
The delegation also met with the Hong Kong Investment Agency (Investhk), where the two sides discussed opportunities to launch joint initiatives in the fields of financial technology and data centers, and organize activities to introduce Arab companies to the investment environment in the city and link them to global innovation networks.
The agency expressed its appreciation for the Federation’s initiatives, stressing that the partnership with Arab economies represents a qualitative addition to the path of international cooperation in the digital economy.
On the other hand, the delegation of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, His Excellency Mr. Feng Fai, Secretary of the Heinan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and Mr. Ning Hong One, Chairman of the Heinan County Committee of the Chinese Council for International Trade Promotion, member of the Heinan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of senior government officials, where cooperation opportunities were discussed in the fields of data centers, digital financial systems, and data transmission mechanisms through Borders.
The Secretary of the Committee stressed that the Arab vision of the digital economy constitutes an advanced framework for international cooperation, praising the UAE’s role in supporting this vision and adopting strategic initiatives that contribute to the growth and progress of the Arab digital economy.
The two sides also reviewed the benefits of Hinan Free Trade, and the advanced organizational environment that contributes to attracting investments and supporting innovation.
It was agreed to consolidate cooperation in the fields of software, smart agriculture, and digital tourism, as well as organizing joint international events to display experiences and exchange experiences.
On the other hand, the delegation of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, His Excellency Mrs. Zhang Ying, Deputy Secretary -General, met the Shanghai Municipality’s popular government, and the meeting touched on the city’s achievements in the field of digital economy, including the data exchange platform, support for startups in the areas of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and e -commerce.
The Chinese official emphasized that the Arab vision of the digital economy represents a meeting point for regional and international cooperation, noting that the UAE played a leadership role in consolidating innovation and digital transformation in the Arab region.
The two sides discussed the opportunities for cooperation in developing Arab digital systems by taking advantage of Chinese experiences, in order to enable Arab economies in global digital trade and support sustainable development.
The tour concluded with a visit to the province of Jejiang, where the union delegation held a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Le Chan, Deputy Governor of Zhejiang Province, dealing with the prospects for cooperation in the areas of digital trade, innovative financial solutions, and supporters support programs.
The Deputy Governor praised the Arab vision for the digital economy and its strategic initiatives, stressing that the UAE represents an influential position in the leadership of digital innovation and technology -based economic development.
The Chinese side also affirmed its willingness to provide technical and consulting support to enable Arab projects in the areas of digital transformation, while looking to expand the scope of cooperation and implement projects with a direct impact in the Arab and Chinese economies.
The Arab Union for Digital Economy in Chinese provinces resulted in the signing of a set of memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements with major Chinese institutions and companies. In Hong Kong, BMHL Crypto Limited was signed for cooperation in developing stable digital currencies.
In Heinan Province, the Federation signed a memorandum of understanding with the management of the city of Sanya Yazho Bay for Science and Technology and the Sanya Investment Promotion Office, which included the establishment of a regional center for the union, organizing specialized events, as well as researching the establishment of an Arab -Chinese industrial fund and the establishment of advanced data centers.
Jejiang County also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement with ISPORS to build data centers in the Arab countries, in addition to a memorandum of understanding with H3C Smart Infrastructure Development and Transfer of Knowledge.
Within the framework of the tour, discussions with the Asian Bank for Investment in Infrastructure on cooperation in digital structure projects, and consultations with the Ali Baba Group to discuss the mechanisms of supporting the “Arab Food Market” initiative as a unified digital platform contribute to enhancing food security in the region.
The Arab Federation for Digital Economy Tour aims to advance the implementation of strategic projects adopted by the Federation within the framework of the Arab vision of the digital economy.
These projects include the establishment of advanced data centers that support Arab digital infrastructure, establish specialized research centers that contribute to preparing economic and technical studies, and launching a financing fund for digitization projects to support innovation and investment in the region.
The initiatives also extend to the implementation of projects with a direct economic impact, such as stable digital currencies, in addition to enhancing cognitive exchange and capacity building in a way that establishes the position of Arab economies in the global digital economy system.
