Various activities in the program of the documentary episodes of the program "Million poet"

Abu Dhabi, September 27 / WAM / The tour of the twelfth season of the “Poet of the Million” program, which is produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, witnessed under the slogan “Our Poem One”, a group of various events that reflect the aesthetics of Nabati poetry.

The first documentary episode was devoted to the interviews of the jury of the program that took place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, during the period from 24 to 28 August.

473 poets participated in the round, the committee approved 417 of them, while 8 poets won the gold card to qualify directly to the hundred phase that precedes the selection and announcement of the list of 48 poets, namely: Abdul Rahman Fahd Al -Qaws, Yaqoub Al -Otaibi, Nasser Al -Naji, Nawaf Rashid Abu Nayyan Al -Subaie, Nafaa Nafaa Safran Al -Dalbi Al -Otaibi, Walid Nasser Muhammad Al -Sharari, Maryam Ali Muhammad Al Mabti Al -Yami.

The episode was opened with conversations with the members of the jury consisting of Dr. Ghassan Al -Hassan, Dr. Sultan Al -Amimi, and the poet Hamad Al -Saeed, during which they reviewed their early beginnings, recalling the moments and situations that paved the way for their launch in the world of literature and criticism, before the interviews were launched, as the poems of poets participating in the tour resulted in the diversity of the contents, and poetry purposes, so they expressed the feelings of sadness and joy.

The tour also witnessed the launch of an innovative paragraph represented in a challenge between poets and artificial intelligence, through which one of the poets presented poetry verses to be raised by artificial intelligence in weight and meaning, but the poet was not permissible for the verses of the match, due to the lack of a response from artificial intelligence to the health of weight and the expression of the correct meaning.

The “Interactive Studio” came within the episode to form an unconventional station, allowing direct interaction and exchange of opinions with the consulting committee of the program, as the studio overlooks the studio interviews, documenting the most prominent positions and instantial impressions, whether from the guests or members of the advisory committee, to give the public a deep and adequate rear view of the course of the interviews and what is going on behind the scenes.

The paragraph “The Pillars of the Nabat” was represented in the documentary episode, a knowledge break that dealt with the life of the late Prince Badr bin Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his poetic contributions, with the participation of the Saudi poet and academy Dr. Maha Al -Otaibi, in addition to highlighting the features of the urban renaissance in the Kingdom through a tour of historical markets and highlighting its prosperous present and its ambitious future vision.

The poets who obtained the jury’s leave confirmed that their participation in the “Poet of the Million” represents an important station in their poetic career, especially with the media light that the media sheds on their poetic experiences and inspiring stories, noting that the program not only gives them the opportunity to participate in an event that is the largest in the field of Nabati poetry, but also opens the doors of communication with the audience of poetry in various countries.

While the poets who were not rewarded expressed their appreciation for the accurate monetary observations that the jury was provided with, stressing that it constitutes a real motivation for them to develop their poetic tools and refine their talent, and that this experience represents for them a valuable addition and qualitative experience that will qualify them to participate with greater confidence in the upcoming seasons of the program.

The second documentary episode will be shown on Tuesday, September 30, at nine o’clock in the evening, Abu Dhabi time.
