Al Ain on October 28 / WAM / The competitions of the “Al -Ittihad Classic” Ice Championship concluded yesterday evening, crowning the winning teams in the first places.
The championship was held at the “Haley Hall”, in the Al -Ain region for 8 days, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Ain region, and organized by the Abu Dhabi Winter Games, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, with the participation of 450 athletes and sports representing 32 teams from 7 countries.
The Russian “Cyber Dunenis” team won the first place in the men’s “first -level” competitions, and the “Thebes Al Ain” team came, and thirdly the Russian Ukileon team, while the “first -level” women championship, the Russian Ukileon won the title, the Muscat team came second, and the Al -Dhabi team third.
The “Sand Stores” team topped the second -level competitions for the men’s category, and secondly came the Omani dagger team, and thirdly, the Galaxy Knight team, while the third level competitions for the men’s category witnessed the Cyber Dunenic team won the title, and the Egyptian Nomad team came second, and the Omani committee thirdly, and the “Love 1” team won the second level title for the women’s category, and Jeddah came second, and the Abu Dhabi was third.
Hamad Obaid Al -Shiriyani, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Winter Games, said that high technical levels, great participation, and the distinguished performance of players and players, confirms the remarkable development of ice hockey sport in the country, which contributes to raising the competitiveness of national teams, at the regional and international levels.
