The Council of Muslim Elders affirmed that knowledge is an inherent right for every human being, and a main tool to achieve sustainable development and enhance the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between nations and peoples.

He explained, in a statement issued on the occasion of the International Day for the Clearance of Information Use, which falls on September 28 of each year, that the right to obtain information is one of the basic pillars to consolidate the principles of justice and transparency and enhance the values ​​of dialogue and understanding between peoples and cultures, in a way that contributes to building a more just and solid world, and pointed out that enabling young people to reach reliable knowledge is a fundamental step towards preparing generations capable of contributing the active in the service of humanity and building a more awareness future And cohesion.

The Council called on media, cultural and educational institutions to assume their moral responsibilities in spreading correct information and combating misinformation, in a way that enhances societal peace, and devotes the values ​​of human brotherhood.
