The disappointing start caused the loss to Al-Bataeh

Ajman’s coach, Serbian Goran Tovegdzic, described his team’s performance in the first 45 minutes against Al-Bataeh as “disappointing”, stressing that the players did not perform at the required level despite the good preparations that preceded the match, which the “Orange” lost with a goal for nothing.
Goran told Emirates Al-Youm: “The team was well prepared for the confrontation from an organizational standpoint, but receiving an early goal confused Ajman’s calculations and gave the competitor an advantage in some periods of the match.”
He added: “Al-Bataeh was able to impose his relative control during that period and created a number of opportunities, while Ajman did not succeed in reaching the goal with the required effectiveness, but the technical staff tried to remedy the situation between the two halves of the match.”
He explained: “In the second half, we tried to change the style of play and rely on a greater offensive tendency in order to return to the atmosphere of the match, as the players sought to create spaces between the opponent’s lines and put more pressure in the front areas, which restored the team’s danger and influence throughout the second half of the match.”
Goran continued: “My team created some opportunities, but was unable to invest them optimally. “The offensive effectiveness was one of the aspects that was not at the expected level in the match.”
He continued: “In general, the team’s performance in this match was not at the same level as it appeared in a number of recent matches. I admit that football sometimes witnesses such discrepancies in performance, but the most important thing is to deal with them and work to correct mistakes quickly.
The Ajman coach affirmed his confidence in his players’ ability to perform better in the upcoming matches, especially since the team has greater potential than it showed in the Al Bataeh match.
He said: “I spoke with the players after the match to find out the reasons for the decline in some periods of the match, and to work on addressing these aspects during the next stage. We will certainly work in the coming days to analyze the match in detail via video, to evaluate the technical performance and correct errors, which will help the team come back stronger in the upcoming matches.”
