Omar Al -Darai: Program "Training imams and preachers" It enhances the capabilities of citizen religious cadres

Abu Dhabi, September 29/ WAM/ His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al -Darai, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, confirmed that the “Training of Imams and Preachers” program, which is implemented by the authority in cooperation with the University of Mohammed bin Zayed University of Humanities, aims to graduate imams with scientific competence and high rhetorical ability, in a way that qualifies them to carry out the responsibilities of the Imamate and rhetoric in the spirit of wisdom, moderation, and tolerance, And commitment to the national identity of religious discourse in the UAE based on the values ​​of mercy, peace, science, citizenship, openness to cultures and coexistence with the components of society.

This came during the visit of His Excellency to the headquarters of Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, where he met with the employees of the program of training imams and preachers and students of Islamic studies who benefit from granting the authority, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, the university director.

His Excellency said, during the visit that the program embodies the vision of the wise leadership in rehabilitating and developing citizenship religious cadres and enhancing their cognitive and intellectual capabilities to serve the country, directing imams and preachers affiliated with the program with the need to make the most of the distinguished experiences provided by the university to improve their job skills.

His Excellency also briefed the academic march of students in the program of granting Islamic studies presented by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, praising the efforts of the academic staff, stressing the importance of preparing legal cadres and enhancing their role in educating society about the tolerant message of Islam and noble societal values.
