The Niger Forum for Arab Poetry is a bridge for cultural communication
Niamey on September 29 / WAM / The patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah in the Nigerian capital, Niamey, yesterday evening, the fourth Arab Poetry Forum with the participation of ten poets, organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs in the Culture Department in Sharjah in cooperation with the Niger Cultural Club.
The forum was attended by Professor Kony Sayyala, Dean of the College of Arabic Language and Humanities at the Islamic University of Niger, Dr. Mohamed Ag Mohamed, head of Arabic-speaking organizations and associations in Niger- Chairman of the Shura Council of the Niger Cultural Club and a number of officials and academics.
Amadou Ali Ibrahim, head of the Niger Cultural Club-the general coordinator of the forum, said that the forum confirms in every season that poetry is a bridge for communication, explaining that the impact of this forum is clear, as it celebrates poets from their various stripes and reveals every year the movement of Arab poetry in Niger and extends its presence since the start of the first session.
The forum witnessed a signing ceremony for two issuances for Professor Kony Sweist and Dr. Mohamed Ag Mohamed.
