Abu Dhabi hosts the European Arab Medical Congress, October 9
Abu Dhabi on October 1 / WAM / The Emirate of Abu Dhabi will host the activities of the second edition of the European Arab Medical Congress, from October 9 to 11, the activities of the second edition of the European Arab Medical Congress, with the participation of more than 800 specialists from 30 countries, along with 60 international speakers and the presentation of 30 credit research papers, in conjunction with the celebration of the International Mental Health Day, which falls on October 10 of each year.
Congress is held at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, with a joint organization between the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, the Emirates Research Center for Research and Studies, and with the support of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the Abu Dhabi Conference and Exhibition Office of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, under the slogan “Applied solutions in rehabilitation and psychology”.
The event is held in partnership with the Emirates Medical Association and the European Medical Association, and with the participation of a group of academic and research institutions from the region and the world.
The Organizing Supreme Committee continues its final preparations for the launch of Congress, which constitutes a leading scientific platform to display the latest international practices and experiences in the fields of rehabilitation and mental health, in order to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a pivotal destination for hosting international medical conferences.
His Excellency Abdullah Abdel -Ali Al -Humaidan, Director General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of Congress, stressed that hosting this specialized medical event reflects the strategic commitment of the authority to develop the system of rehabilitation and integrated treatment for people of determination, and enhancing the position of Abu Dhabi as a global center for innovation in health care, in line with the state’s directions towards building a more comprehensive and developed society.
For his part, Dr. Fawaz Habal, Secretary -General of the Emirates Research Center for Research and Studies, Vice President of the Supreme Committee of Congress, explained that the second edition of Congress comes in line with the slogan “The Year of Society” adopted by the wise leadership, so that this event is a scientific beacon that contributes to enhancing the role of scientific research and innovation in developing psychological and physical care systems, and consolidating the UAE’s status as a cognitive bridge that connects the Arab world with Europe in the medical field.
The Congress agenda includes more than 15 specialized scientific sessions that showcase the latest developments in psychiatry, neuroscience, and rehabilitation, with a focus on cognitive and behavioral therapy protocols, innovations in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, in addition to employing artificial intelligence and robots in recovery programs, and providing treatment models dedicated to children, the elderly and people of determination.
The organizers called on doctors, researchers, specialists, and those interested in the fields of rehabilitation and psychology, to actively participate in the work of Congress and its scientific sessions, as well as to celebrate the International Day of Mental Health, in a way that establishes Abu Dhabi’s international platform for launching medical knowledge, and contributes to enhancing the scientific and human impact of this qualitative event.
