The UAE responds urgently to the relief of those affected by the Philippine earthquake

The United Arab Emirates responded, through the Emirates International Aid Agency, urgently to provide various relief assistance to those affected by the earthquake that struck the friendly Republic of the Philippines, in cooperation with the competent local authorities and authorities, and in support of the national efforts made by the Philippine government to confront the effects of the disaster.

This response comes from the Emirates’s human message, embodying its international and moral responsibility towards the peoples and societies that are exposed to natural disasters and crises, and its keenness to alleviate the suffering of the affected, accelerate the efforts of early recovery and promote stability.

In this context, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al -Amri, President of the Emirates Agency for International Aid, affirmed the pioneering humanitarian role played by the UAE in extending a helping hand and supporting those affected by natural disasters, by providing basic needs of food and urgent life supplies in such difficult circumstances.

His Excellency pointed out that the agency continues to implement its emergency relief plans in translation of the inspiring humanitarian vision of the UAE, and its constant eagerness to assist needy societies and peoples affected by earthquakes, hurricanes and natural disasters around the world.
