Consumers criticize the offering outlets of short “conditional and restricted” discounts

Consumers criticized the offering of sales outlets, which have branches in the various emirates of the state, what they described as “restricted, desperate” and short -term offers, which prohibits them from benefiting from them, and also made the discounts to no avail because they made them spend more amounts to buy the required goods.
They told «Emirates Today» that the outlets have launched during the last period offers that will last for a short period of time starting one day and reaching three days at most, and not a week and more like the rest of the offers. Other outlets also offered offers required to obtain them, spending a minimum amount of money as a minimum of the port, and they have identified the purchase of a specific number of units of some commodities that do not exceed one or two units only.
On the other hand, two officials in the perpetrators of the sale stressed that all of these offers include the proportions of large unusual discounts, and most of them relate to food commodities in them few, which leads to losses for the port if they continue for a long time such as the rest of the offers, noting that most of the short -term offers apply primarily on fresh and fast food commodities, which are available in limited quantities, and provide exceptional opportunities for purchase.
They explained that some of the offers that were described as restricted or conditional come in the interest of consumers first, and aim to ensure purchase of the consumer’s need actually, and not to trade in it, as it aims to provide the opportunity to buy for the largest possible number of consumers and ensure that only consumers benefit from them, so that small groceries or medium outlets do not purchase large quantities of them to trade and raise their price, which leads to breaking the chances of Consumers get it.
Sales outlets
In detail, the consumer, Ihsan Mohamed Mansour, said that “sales outlets have offered offers on important food commodities such as meat, eggs and fish, and wrote that the cuts apply for one day or for a limited period of three days at most, which deprived many of them.”
She explained that one of the outlets offered, for example, an offer that it applied for only one day on cubes of beef weighing 500 grams at 8.10 dirhams instead of 16.25 dirhams, with a decrease of 50%, and the same port offered a offer on fresh shrimp weighing 500 grams for only two days, to decrease the price of 14.95 dirhams to 8.95 dirhams, with a decrease of more than 40%.
She noted that an outlet offered a presentation on one of the types of imported villages for two days, for a decrease in the price of 85 dirhams per kilogram to 42 dirhams per kilogram, with a discount rate of more than 50.6%. An executor also presented a presentation on one of the types of fish, explaining that the width applies for only three days to decrease the price of 22.90 dirhams per kilogram to 11.90 dirhams per kilogram, decreasing 48%, noting that she went to the port as soon as the offers of the show brochure did not find these goods, and found their place empty except (the sign).
She demanded the launch of these large offers for a longer period, such as the rest of the offers, so that the largest number of consumers benefit from them, especially as they are less than that they will be offered in the outlets in general.
Conditional offers
The consumer, Amin Barakat, said that “an outlet that has branches in the various emirates of the state offering conditional offers on some commodities, which made him spend more than he would spend if he bought them without a reduction.”
He explained that an outlet offered an offer on one of the basmati rice varieties weighed five kilograms, and the price decreases from 43.30 dirhams to 19.30 dirhams, a decrease of 55%. The port also presented a presentation on four long -term milk packages, for a decrease in the price of 16.50 dirhams to 9.90 dirhams, a decrease of 40%, as well as a presentation on one of the types of complete chicken, which is rarely of reduced offers, with a discount of 45%. It is required not only to purchase any of these commodities, but a value of value ranging between 25 and 50 dirhams at least at the port to obtain the offer.
He pointed out that he bought from the port itself, all the needs of his family two days before it, because he is adjacent to his home, and when he found the offer he had to buy other goods that he did not need just because of the use of the reduced offer, to discover that he spent more than whether the commodity he wanted to buy is not reduced, which makes the discounts to no avail, calling for not to set conditions for buying goods, and criticizing these offers that lead to increased spending from Unjustified and buying goods that the consumer does not need.
The consumer, Omar Jamal, criticized the outlets of offers on goods, with the requirement of purchasing only one unit of them, which deprived him of greatly benefiting from them, especially since these commodities usually do not have frequent discounts.
He explained that an outlet offered a width for only 48 hours, on a carton from one of the signs of eggs (30 medium tablets), and the price drops from 18.95 to 10.90 dirhams, a decrease of 42.5%. It is required to buy only one carton for each consumer. The port also presented a offer on one of the types of tea that is rarely offered, to decrease the price from 25 dirhams to 8.10 dirhams, a decrease of 67.6%, and only one package is required, indicating that the eggs and this type of tea are rarely there are discounts on them, and that consumption increases severely on school days, calling for the cancellation of this condition because it deprived him of benefiting from the offer significantly.
Big discounts
“The short -term offers include large discounts that are often more than 50%, as they apply primarily on fresh, rapidly damaged food commodities that have limited quantities, and provide exceptional opportunities for purchase,” said the official in one of the sales outlets, Abu Bakr Hafeez. Also, most of them are foods that are few profit, which leads to losses for the port if the cuts continue for a long time.
The official in another port, Masoud Anal, agreed with Hafeez, and added that «some of the offers that were described as restricted or conditional come in the interest of consumers in the first place, as they aim to ensure the purchase of the consumer’s need actually to it, and an opportunity to buy for the largest possible number of consumers, and ensuring that consumers only benefit from them, and that small groceries or medium outlets do not buy large quantities of them to trade in them And raising its price, which leads to dwindling the opportunities for consumers to obtain it. ”
