Al-Sawaha extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – on the occasion of the Saudi scientist’s victory. Professor Omar Munis Yaghi won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the year 2025, as the first Saudi scientist to receive this international honor.

Contributions that enhance the Kingdom’s position

The Minister of Communications praised the qualitative contributions made by Professor Yaghi, who works as a consultant at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, director of the Joint Center of Excellence in the city, and a member of the Research, Development and Innovation Development Authority. It has strengthened the Kingdom’s position as a global leader in science, research and innovation.
