Al-Sisi assures Trump that he “deserves” the Nobel Peace Prize

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi assured his American counterpart, Donald Trump, in a phone call on Thursday that he “deservedly” deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

He called on Trump “to participate in the celebration that will be held in Egypt on the occasion of the conclusion of the agreement to stop the war in the Gaza Strip,” the first phase of which was only agreed upon during talks hosted by Egypt.

The statement issued by Sisi’s office stated that the Egyptian President “stressed the necessity of moving forward towards implementing the agreement to stop the war in the Gaza Strip in all its stages.”
