France welcomes the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and appreciates the role of Egypt, America, Qatar and Turkey
France welcomed the reaching of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of this agreement allowing the immediate release of all hostages, the arrival of humanitarian aid on a large scale, and the cessation of military operations in the Strip. hostages, the arrival of large-scale humanitarian aid, and the cessation of military operations, alleviating the suffering of the residents of Gaza and the families of the hostages who have been waiting for the return of their loved ones for more than two years. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “This agreement is an essential first step, and efforts must now focus on transforming this ceasefire into a lasting peace, through the deployment of an international stabilization force with a mandate from the Security Council of to the United Nations, the disarmament of Hamas, the return of the Palestinian Authority, after reforms, to the Gaza Strip, and the re-establishment of a reliable political horizon for the establishment of a Palestinian state, in accordance with the principles of the New York Declaration, according to the French Foreign Ministry. This is the goal of the ministerial meeting being held today in Paris, noting that France will work to collect concrete contributions to ensure the implementation of the second phase of President Trump’s plan, by defining collective commitment mechanisms on the main criteria for what is known as “the next day.” After the war, which is based on three main axes: security, governance, and reconstruction.
