Gold is recovering thanks to strong demand

Washington, October 10 / WAM / Gold prices recovered from early losses today, Friday, and are heading towards achieving their eighth weekly gain in a row.

Gold in spot transactions increased 0.5 percent to $3,992.97 per ounce by 0919 GMT.

It had reached a record high of 4059.05 yesterday, and the precious metal has risen 2.3 percent since the beginning of the week until now.
