Conclusion of the beach water polo tournament at Marassi North Coast
The beach water polo tournament was concluded at Marassi North Coast, sponsored by the Egyptian Swimming Federation, with the participation of four of the most prominent Egyptian clubs: New Giza, Heliopolis, Sporting, and Al Gezira (born in 2011).
The tournament witnessed strong competition throughout the day, as New Giza Club succeeded in being crowned first, while Heliopolis came in second place, and Sporting took first place. Third.
The tournament comes within the activities of the Marassi Water Sports Festival, with the aim of encouraging the practice of sports in open tourist environments and promoting the concept of sustainable societies, in line with Egypt’s 2030 vision for comprehensive development.
The event was sponsored and monitored by Engineer Yasser Idris, Chairman of the Committee. The Egyptian Olympic Committee, President of the Egyptian Swimming Federation, and Vice President of the International Aquatics Federation, who stressed that holding such tournaments reflects the federation’s keenness to expand the base of water sports practice and spread it among various age groups.
The tournament witnessed a distinguished public presence and a festive atmosphere that combined sports, entertainment and tourism, to present a unique model that reflects fruitful cooperation between Sports institutions and the private sector, and confirms Egypt’s position as a regional center for water sports events.
