Minister of Labor: Egypt’s re-election to the Arab Labor presidency reflects confidence in its leadership and regional role

Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor, confirmed that Egypt’s election for the second time in a row as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization reflects its position and the confidence of Arab countries in its leadership, noting that this achievement is the result of the continuous support and efforts of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Gibran said in exclusive statements to (Nile Radio) that Egypt’s strength and weight within Arab society stems from the efforts of President Sisi, who always supports joint Arab action. He believes in the unity of the Arab ranks, explaining that last year witnessed Egypt assuming this position for the first time since an absence of twenty years, before it was elected again this year for two consecutive years, in a precedent that is the first of its kind.

 

The minister added that this renewed selection expresses the confidence of the Arab countries in Egypt and its deserving of this position, stressing that Egypt has become a locomotive. Peace in the Arab region thanks to the efforts made by the Egyptian state in various regional and international forums.

 

Gibran pointed out that the Arab Labor Organization works in line with the International Labor Organization to preserve the rights of workers and Arab countries, and to ensure that no Arab country is included in lists of violations, as this has a negative impact on the investment environment. And development.

 

He also explained that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives always focus on enhancing trust and cooperation with various international and regional organizations, in a way that serves the interests of Arab countries.

 

The Minister of Labor announced that next Tuesday will witness an important meeting that includes the labor ministers of Arab and Islamic countries, expressing his aspiration that Egypt will be “in the good faith of the Arab brothers who once again gave us their trust.”

 

Gibran reviewed Egypt’s efforts at the previous conference in Geneva, where it succeeded in extracting international recognition by considering the State of Palestine an observer state and not an organization, describing this as “an Arab victory.” “Great.”

 

The minister concluded his statements by saying: “It is not a coincidence that Egypt assumes the presidency of the Arab Labor Council, alongside the leadership of UNESCO, and its meeting with world leaders in support of the Palestinian cause. Today, Egypt is leading the Arab world with steady steps towards a better future.”
