12 conditions for obtaining a study abroad scholarship

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has begun receiving applications for registration for scholarships for the spring 2026 semester.
It specified 12 conditions for obtaining a scholarship, noting that registration will close on November 7, while the last date for completing the scholarship application requirements will be November 21, and the date for announcing the results of final scholarship applications will be November 28.
It identified nine reasons for rejecting academic acceptance letters.
The Ministry required the applicant to be a citizen of the country, to pass the conditions for the academic degree applied for, to have been accepted into a university and major within the universities and specializations specified for scholarship by the Ministry, and to pass the interview, competency tests, and the equivalence and certification of previous qualifications.
The requirements included: Commitment to full-time study on university campuses outside the country, providing a certificate of exemption, postponement, or completion of national service (for males only), and signing an acknowledgment of compliance with the rules, regulations, and decisions related to scholarships and academic aid, and any other relevant declarations determined by the Ministry, after the issuance of the final approval for his scholarship, and that he must not have received a scholarship or scholarship. A full scholarship from any scholarship institution or body inside or outside the country, and he must not have previously been sent on scholarship for the academic degree he completed previously or for a lower academic degree, whether at the expense of the ministry or another body or at his own expense, and he must not have previously been sent on scholarship at the expense of the ministry or another body and his scholarship was canceled for any reason.
The Ministry also stipulated that the academic acceptance letters submitted must include the specialization and the link to the program from the university’s website if it is not mentioned in the acceptance letter, noting that academic acceptance letters that include a training period, study of an English language program, study programs to obtain a double degree or double specialization, or a qualifying program that precedes postgraduate studies such as (Pre-Master) will not be considered.
Reasons for rejecting academic acceptance letters include the presence of an additional year of study for the master’s degree (in the case of applicants for bachelor’s studies), or studying programs offered via the distance learning system, in addition to studying the Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Executive MBA programs or programs or courses designed for professionals at the administrative or executive levels, or programs offered through continuing education centers or Professional studies.
Scholarship specializations
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stated that it provides scholarships in all majors, provided that the approved criteria for selecting majors and universities include that the university be among the best 50 universities in the major to be studied, or that the university and major be among the top 100 universities in the United States of America and Australia, or the top 200 universities in other countries, or among the top 300 universities in non-English speaking countries.
• Next November 7 is the closing date for registration for the “Spring 2026” semester.
