Hamdan bin Mubarak congratulates the national team on its victory over Oman in the World Cup qualifiers
Abu Dhabi, 11 October / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Football Association, congratulated our national team on the occasion of its victory over its Omani brother in the playoffs to qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals, praising the performance of the players and the alertness of the technical staff, calling for the final step to be completed successfully.
His Excellency the President of the Federation congratulated the Emirati football fans, praising his influential role before and during the match because he was the best support and motivator, stressing that the final confrontation against the brotherly Qatari team needs more motivation in order to achieve the goal.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak called on the national team family to benefit from the lessons of the Omani experience, and to focus on the last match. He said: We are certain that this generation of players realizes its responsibilities and seeks to enter history and write a new chapter for Emirati football, because it has the qualifications that help it write a bright page in history. The final match is the deciding match, and we must prepare for it mentally and physically, and fight it with great courage and wisdom.”
He added that the Emirati people and Emirati football fans look at the decisive match with optimism, because they trust the players’ talents, abilities and ambitions. We in the Football Association share the same outlook with our community, and we look forward to achieving the long-awaited dream.
