The Bahrain International Exhibition Center continues its preparations to host the third Asian Youth Games

The Kingdom of Bahrain is preparing to host the third edition of the Asian Youth Games, which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, during the period from 22 to 30 October 2025. The Bahrain International Exhibition Center has been chosen to be one of the most prominent sites for hosting sports competitions in this edition.

The center is proud to host the opening ceremony, which will be held for the first time in the history of the tournament inside a closed hall, in addition to hosting 13 different sports on the competition schedule with the participation of more than 5,000 athletes from 45 countries across the Asian continent. The sports that will be hosted by the center include: boxing, teqball, table tennis, mixed martial arts, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, judo, weightlifting, freestyle wrestling, e-sports, Muay Thai, kurash, and pencak silat.

Sports competitions will be held in the center on a total area exceeding 62,000 square metres, distributed over six main halls in addition to the Great Hall and the main hall, with each hall equipped to suit the nature of the game and its technical requirements. Hall No. (1) will host pencak silat, mixed martial arts and jiu-jitsu competitions, while Hall No. (2) will host Kurash, Taekwondo and Judo competitions, and Hall No. (3) will host weightlifting competitions, followed by Hall No. (7) which will witness freestyle wrestling events, then Hall No. (9) designated for boxing competitions, and Hall No. (10) for two sports. Teqball and table tennis, while e-sports and Muay Thai competitions will be held in the main hall.

An integrated media center will also be allocated at the center, ensuring comprehensive media coverage of all games and competitions throughout the tournament.
