Al-Shumaisi drew attention to the fact that the large turnout reflects the position that the exhibition has come to enjoy as a global destination that combines cultural heritage, economic and tourism dimensions, and the status that it enjoys. The event has the largest gathering of its kind in the world for falconry, hunting, and land travel hobbies.
He pointed out that the exhibition went beyond being an annual event to being an economic tributary that contributes to the revitalization of multiple sectors such as tourism, entertainment, handicrafts, and national products, in addition to its support for falconers, investors, and entrepreneurs.
It included This year, the exhibition has two auctions, the first for Mongolian falcons and local falcons, achieving total sales amounting to (7) million riyals, and the camel auction, which was held in cooperation with the Saudi Camel Federation.
International participation
The exhibition was distinguished by the expansion of the scope of international participation, and the introduction of new areas, most notably the Mongolian Falcons area, The Saluki Museum, the Chinese Pavilion, the UNESCO World Heritage Area (Najran Fever), the exhibition safari, the future falcon village, the falconry fashion area, in addition to the Shalayel Museum, the weapons area, the classic cars area, the arts and sewing areas that embrace Saudi female craftswomen, and art exhibitions.
The exhibition was also accompanied by the launch of a race. Al-Malwah, which crowned 60 winners in six categories, with total prizes amounting to (600) thousand riyals.
And the owner of the Saudi International Falcons and Hunting Exhibition (23) various events, including the invitation event for falcons, folklore shows presenting the Saudi Ardha and other performing arts, equestrian shows that mix horses and falcons, and karting and four-wheel drive experiences. In specialized tracks, camel riding, shooting ranges with firearms, air weapons, and arrows, and an activity for drawing the Arabian horse, in addition to dialogue sessions, and more than (30) craft and training workshops in various fields.
The exhibition received strategic sponsorship from the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority and the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority, as it embodies this Institutional integration, to support national events and enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for cultural and heritage events.
