A Gulf celebration of Emirati innovators at the 29th session of the meeting of Ministers of Culture in the State of Kuwait

Abu Dhabi, October 13 / WAM / The UAE participated in the twenty-ninth meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Culture of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was hosted by the State of Kuwait, to discuss ways to enhance Gulf cultural cooperation and exchange experiences in the fields of creativity, arts and heritage.
On behalf of His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, His Excellency Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry, participated in the meeting, where he stressed that the meeting enhances the process of joint cultural work, and opens new horizons for initiatives that unite efforts in preserving heritage and developing cultural and creative industries, which contributes to consolidating the position of Gulf culture on the regional and global scene.
He explained that culture represents a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development, pointing out that the UAE attaches great importance to supporting and empowering creative people, and highlighting their role in consolidating national identity and enhancing cultural dialogue between the GCC countries.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Sultan Al Amimi, President of the Emirates Writers and Authors Union, was honored in the categories of literature, poetry and heritage, and the Emirati artist Saeed Salem in the performing arts category, as part of honoring an elite group of Gulf creators who contributed to enriching the cultural scene with their initiatives and distinguished artistic and literary production.
