Meloni: Italy is ready to play its role in Gaza

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni confirmed that Italy is ready to assume its role in Gaza, and that recognition of the State of Palestine has become closer after the peace agreement, and that Rome will deploy peacekeeping forces if the United Nations requests it.

Meloni said – after the peace summit in Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday – “Italy is ready to assume its role in Gaza, it is a great opportunity,” according to a news agency. /ANSA/ Italian.
