Funnily enough.. Erdogan surprises Meloni: “Stop smoking!”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan surprised Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni by asking her to stop smoking, yesterday, on the sidelines of their attendance at the Sharm El-Sheikh peace summit on Gaza.

Erdogan was shaking Meloni’s hand when he joked with her, saying, “You look good, maybe I should help you stop smoking,” according to a video clip that was circulated on social networks.

Then the Italian Prime Minister replied: “I know, I know… I don’t want to seem funny.”

While Erdogan and French President Emmanuel Macron broke into a wave of laughter.

Macron said, commenting on Erdogan’s request from Meloni: “It is impossible.”
