Secretary General of"Top for motherhood and childhood" Visit the state pavilion in "Expo 2025 Osaka"

Osaka, 14 October / WAM / Her Excellency Al Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, yesterday visited the UAE pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, as part of the official visit of the Council delegation to Japan, under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Development Foundation. Family.

Her Excellency was received upon her arrival at the pavilion headquarters by His Excellency Shehab Ahmed Al Fahim, UAE Ambassador to Japan, Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, in the presence of Maryam Al Mamari, Head of the UAE Expo Office, and a number of officials at the pavilion. She inspected the pavilion, which bears the slogan “From Earth to Ether,” and whose design is derived from the palm tree with its historical and heritage symbolism, and consists of 90 Towering wooden columns, each reaching a height of 16 metres, form a visual forest that celebrates sustainability and human innovation, and brilliantly blends ancient Emirati craftsmanship with mastered Japanese carpentry techniques.

Her Excellency met with a number of young Emirati youth participating in a group of young ambassadors who receive visitors to the State Pavilion and accompany the guests on a journey to discover the richness of the Emirati heritage and the authenticity of national traditions, in addition to the country’s achievements over more than 50 years.

Following the tour, I held a joint meeting with His Excellency Shehab Ahmed Al Fahim, Maryam Al Maamari, and a number of officials in the pavilion, during which the importance of the UAE’s participation in this global exhibition was discussed, based on the established and strong relations between the two countries, in addition to the various activities organized by the pavilion throughout the duration of Expo 2025 Osaka and the large numbers of visitors that the pavilion attracted.

Her Excellency Al Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi confirmed that the visit of the delegation of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, with the participation of a number of members of the Emirati Children’s Parliament, to Japan and Expo 2025 Osaka, comes as an embodiment of the vision of the wise leadership and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, on the importance of implementing innovative strategies and programs that support children and youth and provide them with the appropriate environment to move towards a prosperous future full of opportunities for growth and development.

She said that the state pavilion offers an inspiring humanitarian experience that addresses important issues such as motherhood and childhood, highlights national efforts in providing a supportive environment for children and mothers, and enhances community awareness of the importance of investing in future generations as they are the basic foundation for achieving sustainable development.

She noted that the pavilion organized an inspiring dialogue session for a group of members of the Emirati Children’s Parliament, which reflected the care and empowerment that Emirati children receive from an early age, and the continuous work to enhance their skills, develop their capabilities, and prepare them optimally for the future.

She expressed her pride in the participation of Emirati youth in managing and organizing the pavilion, stressing that their presence and interaction with visitors reflects the level of awareness and responsibility of the emerging generations, and embodies a shining model for Emirati youth capable of representing their country in international forums with confidence and competence, and conveying its humanitarian and development message to the world.

She stressed that the country’s pavilion formed a bridge to strengthen Emirati-Japanese relations and consolidate cooperation in multiple fields, noting that relations between the UAE and Japan are based on a strong strategic partnership that extends for many decades of fruitful cooperation, and the two countries also share a single vision for achieving sustainable development and enhancing the status of humanity in the process of development.

She added that the distinguished UAE presence at Expo 2025 Osaka embodies this cultural cooperation between the two countries, and reflects the country’s distinguished reputation on the international scene.
